The Greater Edmonton Region is about to Step In and Step Up for its Community. This is your organization’s chance to participate in one of the most unique and profitable fundraising programs ever created. There is absolutely no charge to your organization, your participation is totally FREE.

Created in association with Unlimited Potential Community Services, Step In Step Up for Your Community is an all-digital modern take on a good old fashioned Walk-A-Thon.

Based on the principle of crowd funding, Step In Step Up is entirely App based. Participants use the App to register, their supporters use the App to sponsor them and then the magic happens April 18 - May 15, 2022 when every step a participant takes is registered toward their fundraising goals for their chosen charities.

Everything is App based. All donations are via credit card so participants don’t have to collect their pledges and you don’t have to handle any money. Even the tax receipts for donations will be handled for you. Best of all, because technology is at the forefront, all dollars raised through Step In Step Up (minus credit card processing fees) are given over to you two weeks after the event.

How does the fundraising work?

Participants get to choose where the dollars they raise go. Ten percent to one organization and 90 percent to another, or the entire 100 percent to a single organization. However they want to divide what they raise is up to the participant.

Who is eligible? When do you need to join?

In this inaugural year, a year of great financial challenges due to a global pandemic, Step In Step Up is the perfect solution to your fundraising needs. We will be taking on various registered not for profits from all sectors (religious groups like churches and other places of worship excluded) doing great work within the Edmonton Metropolitan Area. You’ll have until December 31st, 2021 to Register your charity’s interest to join in.

So what do you need to do? Register your interest!

You’ll need to identify a specific program or project you are trying to fund so we can share your story within the app. You’ll need to provide a story about your organization and what you do in the community. You’ll need to provide pictures of your organization at work, a high resolution image of your logo and your contact information. You will need to commit to getting your network of supporters engaged by participating in an email campaign to encourage them to download the Step In Step Up app and participate.

What’s in it for Your Network of Participants?

Besides supporting your organization – an organization they already are behind – Step In Step Up provides incentives through a Reward Wallet for all participants and their sponsors. Rewards are provided through our corporate sponsors and will include things such as discounts, freemiums and other great incentives.

How is Step In Step Up getting the word out?

Step In Step Up is building a high-impact mass and social media campaign that will launch two-months prior to the 2021, October 11 – November 07 event. The marketing campaign is intended to get additional participants and supporters involved, raise awareness for the event and to tell the stories of all the organizations that will benefit.
